Who this service is for

Workplace mediation is suitable for employers, HR professionals, employees and teams dealing with workplace conflict that has not been resolved through normal channels. It is appropriate for early intervention, before issues escalate, and also for situations where formal processes have not produced a resolution.

It can be used for disputes between two employees, between an employee and a manager, or within a team where communication has broken down significantly. The process is voluntary and confidential.

Common topics we help with

Workplace conflict between colleagues
Team communication breakdowns
Employee and employer disputes
Interpersonal conflict affecting work
Performance-related tension and misunderstandings
Restoring professional working relationships
Communication agreements for ongoing work

Why workplace mediation works

Unresolved workplace conflict can affect morale, productivity and retention. Formal processes, including investigations and disciplinary proceedings, are often costly, adversarial and damage working relationships further. Mediation offers an alternative: a structured conversation where both parties are heard and where the focus is on workable outcomes.

Because mediation is voluntary and confidential, it often results in more genuine and lasting resolutions than imposed outcomes. People who participate in reaching an agreement are generally more committed to following through on it.

What the process looks like

1
Initial enquiry

Contact us to discuss the situation, whether you're an employer, HR professional or an employee. We confirm whether workplace mediation is appropriate and explain the process.

2
Individual sessions

We meet separately with each party to understand their perspective, explain the process and prepare them for a constructive joint session.

3
Joint mediation session

A structured, facilitated session where both parties can speak, be heard and work toward a professional resolution. The mediator keeps the conversation focused and respectful.

4
Agreement and follow-up

Where an agreement is reached, it can be documented. We can also discuss whether any follow-up support would be helpful for the team or working relationship.

Please note: Workplace mediation is a confidential process. It is separate from any formal investigation, disciplinary or HR process. This service provides general information only and does not constitute legal or employment advice. We recommend that employers seek independent employment advice in relation to any formal processes.
